Fairy Girl Matte Lip Potions Review & Swatches
Let’s talk makeup: One of the most popular matte trends right now is liquid lipstick. And imho, once you go liquid, you’ll never want to go back. Matte liquid lipsticks apply like a gloss, but dry like a lipstick. They’re richly pigmented, hella long lasting (even through meals!), and the really good ones are comfortable to wear and won’t dry out your lips. One such brand that fits the bill is Fairy Girl Cosmetics.
Their formulas have intense color pay-off and transfer-proof properties, and the shades are absolutely gorgeous (doesn’t hurt that they smell like vanilla frosting, too). They’re made with Hawaiian Kukui nut oil, jojoba oil, pomegranate sterols and coconut fruit extract to help keep lips from drying, which is key because matte liquid lippies are notorious for leaving lips dry and parched af.
Before I go on, I HAVE to take a sec to talk about their swanky packaging. I’m sorry y’all, but packaging does matter. Frilly, pink thangs make my heart go thumpity thump. Fairy Girl lipsticks are absolutely gorgeous – they come in a frosted plastic tube with a metallic pink top. Also, the boxes the tubes come in are decked out in florals and have a lovely girlie Betsey Johnson-esque vibe. Totally up my alley.
The kind folks at Fairy Girl generously sent me all 15 Lip Potion shades to sample, but today I wanted to focus on my favorite pinks, which are the ones I wear most frequently. Peep these pretties in all of their pinky glory!
In case you’re curious about how these compare to their other shades:
These lippies are sold for $15 each or you can purchase the entire set for $125. Also, code VEGANBEAUTYREVIEW saves you $ when checking out. I definitely recommend the splurge – there’s no doubt in my mind you’ll fall madly deeply in love with ’em. xx
